Juror: Mary Clare King is a graduate of Kean University where she studied Fine Arts and Art History. She was included in two student group shows for her work in landscape and nature photography and was asked to photograph "Magical Spaces, Familiar Places” in the James Howe Gallery. The resulting image is now being used on the Galleries at Kean website. While at Kean she helped curate many Studio Art students’ graduation exhibits.Professionally, Ms. King became a curator with the Galleries at Kean in less than a year. She curates shows that tell a story where the pieces complement each other, and elements of texture, stroke or shadows stand out rather than go unnoticed. Each work has an identity which she makes the viewer not only see but also connect to.
